What is Your Focus Point?
In the world of today, it seems as if everyone is in competition with each other and even at doing some of the simplest things ever; I mean, for instance, who used the best word in a sentence, who read their Bible more or who goes to all the services at church and so forth, like seriously. My mind is so not with it. Soon as I spot someone trying to compete with me, I’m going the other way, I have too much going on in my life for me to be competing with anyone other than myself. My belief-system is set up in a way that if we are close in friendship or any sort of a relationship then there should be no competing; because I am rooting for you and it should be vice versa and if it’s not then, Houston, we have a problem.
We shouldn’t get caught-up in the “world’s perspective” on anything because when we do, we lose our focus on God’s standpoint and what He wants us to do, and begin to visualize everything from how the world says we should do it; and that’s not healthy, the world is there to help the world out, plus adding confusion in our lives and God is here to help us out, always. Don’t be like the world competing with and at everything; there’s a winner in all of us, so let’s tap into it, so our testimony can help someone else win.
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!
I have overcome the world.”
NIV John 16:33
